Cleaning and packaging
The requirements set by our customers for product and delivery are getting higher and higher. Since the end of 2009 we have an AMA Universal ‘Closed’ cleaning machine at our disposal. This machine works with PER and is the perfect solution for cleaning and degreasing large quantities of products, which are not intended for clean room use.
Since 2012, in addition to cleaning with PER, we also have the ability to clean Alkaline (with water and soap). For this we have a complete washing line from Finnsonic (Versa+), which is equipped with separate ultrasonic baths for Ferrous, Non-Ferrous and plastic products, and rinse baths with tap water and rinse with DEMI water (with a complete, in-house DEMI installation from BWT). In the final stage, the products are dried with hot air. In order to best protect the end product from new contamination after washing, the washing line is set up in a ‘White-Room’, which is equipped with overpressure with filtered air.
Since mid-2017 we have the possibility to clean products internally ‘ASML Grade 2’, the products are cleaned in a “White-Room” environment in a Pero R1 in alcohol (Dowclene). During this cleaning, parts are washed and dried in vacuum. After drying, they go through a Class 5 “tunnel” directly to the Cleanroom.
In the Cleanroom the products are checked in a Class 5 environment by means of UV and Brightlight after which they are packed for Cleanroom use. We are also able to measure the corrosion resistance (passivity) of the stainless steel surface with an Oxyliser. This gives you the assurance that the stainless steel we process still has the original material properties.
Through the internal choice of cleaning methods and by following an adjusted procedure in production (if necessary), we are able to clean ‘ASML Grade 2 and 4’ parts for clean room use.
We only perform the above mentioned cleaning for our own production and not for parts from third parties.
After cleaning, parts are checked in a second ‘White-Room’ (in a ‘Flow-Unit’) using UV light and then packaged for clean room use. We are also able to measure the corrosion resistance (passivity) of the stainless steel surface with an Oxyliser. This gives you the assurance that the stainless steel we process still has the original material properties.
Because of this installation in combination with the clean White Rooms we are able to clean ‘ASML Grade 4’ parts for Cleanroom use. We perform the above mentioned cleaning for our own production as well as for products of third parties.
